The Battle of Waterloo themed figurative chess set is a superb depiction of the famous conflict that took place in Belgium on the 18th of June 1815, it was the conclusive and final battle of the Napoleonic war and was known as the battle of Waterloo, so named because it took place in the village of Waterloo just south of Brussels.
This chess piece collection by Studio Anne Carlton accurately portrays key figures from that warfight. The game of chess is fought between the English and the French with Arthur Wellesley Napoleon Bonaparte opposing each other.
Tall and significantly weighted figurative chessmen with detail and form that's first rate. Fabricated from crushed stone composite and individually painted by hand, this set will match perfectly with a chessboard that is around 50cm in width.
