Distinguished looking chess set combining the Blackmore series sheesham chessmen from the Regency Chess Company with this superb European made mahogany and maple inlaid chessboard. The pieces have been beautifully crafted from clean boxwood and richly grained golden colour sheesham wood. The main motif of the chess piece design is evident in the shanks, which are very straight & geometric. The pieces are weighted and balance well in the hand.
The Wooden chess board is constructed from veneers of European Mahogany and Birch and is coated in a thin layer of satin lacquer. This is quite a large chess set that measures almost 22 inches across, perfect for tournaments, clubs, schools and for the home.
