Pioneer chessmen from the Regency Chess Company. These superb quality chess pieces are made from graded sheesham wood (Golden Rosewood) and Boxwood and include a tall king at almost 4 inches in height. They are made to exacting standards by hand and exhibit some interesting design features, based on the classic Staunton design with a slight departure. Unique design examples include the grooved collars and the raised, mounted knight.
